Some cooler areas to hang out in Barcelona

Stay away from the crowds and head to these cooler areas of Barcelona for food, cool boutiques and lazy beers in the sun...

The Born

10 mins walk from the Ramblas down Carrer Ferran to Carrer Argenteria. Plenty of backstreets with cool cafés, local life, tapas and the best mojitos...
Best spots: Mercat Princesa for tapas & Passeig del Born for drinks

Gracia

Very cool and creative district. Great for beers in a sunny square and random cute shops.
Walk up Passeig de Gracia and turn right on Travessera de Gracia.
Best squares: Plaça de la Vila de Gràcia, Plaça del Sol, Plaça Virreina

 Down the beach

It´s always packed at Barceloneta so head right and walk a little further! Plenty more space, bit of random nudity! and El Gallito and Salt beach bars...

Sant Antoni Area

The new Dalston of Barcelona, & only 10 mins walk from the centre.
Head to Carrer del Parlament for drinks and eats.
Best spots: Donutería (yes just dougnuts), Xalada, Bar Calders

La Rambla

To the centre if you have to...head to Ocaña in Plaça Real for tapas and cocktails, Puerto Latino in the Boqueria Market for fried things, El Cercle Terrace for churros and chocolate or Flax n Kale if you feel the need to eat something healthy

Have fun, watch your bags and phones and follow me on instagram for more drinking & eating and seeing spots. x

  1. Muy buenas fotos, aunque la verdad que eventos como el futbol generan muchos ingresos a nuestra ciudad, como la copa del Rey de este año:
