Beachfront Breakfast & Pampering - Part 2

Best way to start the day...breakfast in the sun.

I love the Surf House Barcelona for its location just moments from the sea as well as its fresh juices and delicious breakfasts and brunch. This Californian style beach bar with its chalky coloured furniture and great menu (at any time of day) is one of my top recommendations.

Grab the metro to Barceloneta stop and walk down Joan de Borbo road towards the sea or take a quick cab ride, about 8 euros in a taxi from Plaza Catalunya (the centre).

If you´re soaking up a hangover, don´t worry, there are burgers and club sandwiches to help you out! Plus plenty of cocktails for hair of the dog.

If you´re feeling active and like water sports, the Surf House Barcelona also offers stand up paddle surf lessons & brunch for 25 euros a head. A great activity for any groups looking to try something different  and actually not that hard (I´m SO not sporty but tried it with friends and loved it - although the photos of us doing it weren´t quite as I imagined we´d look! Definitely no Kate Hudson)

(NOT us!)

If you´d rather just work on your tan on the beach, I prefer the part just beside the W hotel (the massive sail shaped hotel to the right) mainly because it´s quieter and has this gorgeous beach bar called SALT,

or Icaria beach if you fancy mojitos served to you whilst you sunbathe & Ibiza style music.

After relaxing on the beach, you deserve some pampering so you could head up to the elegant and bright beauty studios of The Pink Peony on one of the main shopping streets, Passeig de Gracia.
Get a bright summer manicure ready for your night out.

The Pink Peony offers a hen do service (and stripper!) which I think is overpriced but you could try out the Beauty Party Offer which does manis, appetizer with cava & nibbles, arm & shoulder massages and exclusive use of the salon. The price is 40 euros per head (min 10 people).

A normal mani express at the Pink Peony is about 16 euros, so you could just contact them to see if they have time to treat you all at the same time if you´re a smaller group.

  1. Hi there!
I've got in touch with the beauty salon mentioned above and a stripper isn't included. Is it the same salon or deferent as to what you mentioned above??
I just thought it would be a funny idea to surprise all the other hens!!

    1. Hi jade - it's on their website on the Spanish page under "despedida soltera" which is hen do in Spanish but maybe they only do it as part of the super expensive "bride" package or have just stopped doing it. Sorry! X
