Cosy spots for cocktails & dinner in Barcelona

In the winter months I love a cosy, open fire or fairy-lit pretty interior to enjoy a cocktail & dinner with friends. Sometimes I feel that Barcelona without the sun can be a bit dreary, then it gets colder and darker, and I realise that it´s actually just as beautiful! The shopping streets at night get busier, the twinkly lights come on and the outdoor heaters line the different Ramblas for the evening drinkers! So if you´re not feeling the dark, cold evenings of Barcelona and need a little inspo, I hope these spots help!

Very cosy with an open fire and checked English heritage style armchairs.  I was craving a Sunday roast dinner and the dinner menu delivered on the roast beef front! But it is a plate of roast beef only so be sure to order a side of vegetables, and the mash is amazing! The food is decently priced but the wine list is quite pricey, although they do have Sancerre which was just delicious! It also has a cute, heated exterior patio for a pre-dinner drink.

A brasserie style interior, with live singers giving it a romantic old-school feeling at the weekend. I would say this is more a couples dining spot. With delicious desserts too!

This is the kind of place I´d like to stumble upon if it was my first time in Barcelona. It´s cosy, welcoming, cool and the wine and Asturian-style tapas are delicious. I totally recommend the black rice and calamari. The other great thing about this restaurant is that the kitchen is open all day so you don´t have to stick to strict eating times and can pop in whenever you like.

The outdoor heated patio is the huge selling point for this place. And with dishes to share it´s worth a visit with friends.

Cocktails & the best mini cheeseboard at this glam art deco cocktail bar. You can also choose from  tapas, grill or fish dinners all in the same huge but sparkly & pretty gastro-space.

Very instagrammable toilet mirrors!

  1. I just found your Europe Series a few days ago. It inspired me to also pursue my dream of going to Europe someday. I might also do it solo like what you did. I really enjoy reading all your entries. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences.
