Coffee, shopping & tapas in the Born
It´s so easy to spend a full morning wandering the narrow backstreets of the Born. It´s
definitely a place to visit during a city break here in Barcelona and only a 10 minute walk from the Rambla.
A perfect place for sunny coffee stops, amazing tapas and cool boutiques.

Once you´ve satisfied your shopping cravings, there are plenty of great spots and hidden places to discover in the Born...

The perfect spot is in front of the beautful Santa Maria del Mar cathedral in Plaza Santa Maria...LaVinya del Senyor for wine and cheese or Bubó cafe for coffee and something a little sweeter...
For (I think) the best place for tapas in the old town, head to Mercat Princesa, and choose your food from the market stalls & have it prepared in front of you. Totally recommend the huevos estrellados con jamon (smashed eggs with Iberian ham).

If the coffee moves onto cocktails or beers...a top place is Numero Nueve, just off Passeig del Born...
